Logbooks for boards and jobs
In short. When a board, an interview panel or a credentialing body asks for your operative experience, Case Logbook builds two documents from your cases: a Logbook summary and a Credentialing logbook. Both are built on your phone, and the credentialing logbook has no patient names.
You find both under Settings → Backup, on their own cards.
The two documents
- Logbook summary. The consolidation report: how many of each procedure you have done, split into performed and assisted. The header is honest about what it counts. 512 procedures across 460 cases means some cases involved more than one procedure. Procedures and cases are both shown, never blurred into one number. Use it for boards and interviews, as the answer to “what is your operative experience?“.
- Credentialing logbook. The per-case evidence: one row per case with date, MRN, age and sex, procedure, hospital, your role and whether the case is confirmed against hospital records. No patient names appear anywhere in it. The MRN is the identifier, which is how credentialing dossiers work and what keeps the document safe to hand over.
Make one
- Open Settings → Backup and find the card for the document you want.
- Tap Choose scope. Pick a specialty (yours is preselected), a hospital (all or one) and a date range. The card then shows your scope with a Change link.
- Tap Download CSV for a spreadsheet, or Open printable report and use your browser’s print dialog to save a PDF.
- For the CSV, the app asks you to confirm first, because the MRN and age and sex are still patient data.
The printable report carries a signature line so a consultant or head of department can attest it on paper.
What stays on your phone
Both documents are built entirely on your phone. It unscrambles the patient details with your unlocked vault, builds the document and downloads or prints it there. The servers play no part in an export and never see the readable result. Names are not in the credentialing logbook at all, and the MRN, age and sex in it are what you choose to hand over. See Where your data lives.
The exports never guess. If a case has no recorded age or sex, those cells stay blank. Formal documents, such as the credentialing logbook, carry your full name.
Less common
- A full readable copy. The same screen also has Download a readable copy (CSV), which exports all your cases, names included. It is a copy for you to keep, not a document to hand over. Treat the file as patient data.
- Unconfirmed cases. A case that no hospital sheet has backed shows as unconfirmed in the credentialing logbook. To raise the number of confirmed cases, see Importing your past cases.
- Lost the file. Make it again. Nothing is stored on the servers.
